I'd gotten used to using the very handy "Text replacement" function on my iPhone. You use it by entering the text that you want to appear when you type in a shortcut anywhere in you phone. For example, I use the shortcut "hh" to type in the words "Heading home now from ". I use this phrase a lot to let my wife know I am heading home (obviously) and I add a custom location at the end. In iOS12 I received an new app from Apple. It is an augmented reality measuring tool. You point it at the thing you want to measure and click on the start and end points of the object and there, floating in space, will be the length of it displayed for you. The app even finds corners and such that you may want to logically start your measurement from. I know this has been available elsewhere for I-don't-know-how-long but it was new to me and my default thought, like so many o

This response annoys me greatly. Not because I am a member of a different tribe (or cult if you ask some), but because it is a marketing and culture driven response that comes without any facts.
I've been in computing for over 35 years. My second computer was an Apple II Euro+. My latest computer is an iMac and of course I have owned many, many other computers of varying types in be
